Charlottetown’s new and exciting waterfront music series is here! Proudly presented by Dairy Farmers of PEI, this music series has it all: from fiddling folk to bright Cuban guitar to the smooth sounds of wind instruments and all genres in between, The Sounds of the Waterfront will be music to everyone’s ears!

What is Sounds of the Waterfront?

Sounds of the Waterfront presented by Dairy Farmers of PEI is a free summer music series happening daily at the Founders’ Food Hall & Market patio & Peakes Quay Courtyard! From July 2 to August 31, enjoy live local music all day—perfect for lunch breaks, after-work hangs, or evening vibes.

When are the shows?

Live music happens daily, with performances at both Founders’ Food Hall & Market and
Peakes Quay Courtyard:
12:00 PM – 2:00 PM — Founders’ Food Hall & Market
2:00 PM – 4:00 PM — Peakes Quay Courtyard
5:00 PM – 7:00 PM — Both Founders’ Food Hall & Market & Peakes Quay Courtyard
Catch a set or make a day of it and follow the music from lunch to sunset!

Where does it take place?

All shows happen outside on the patio at Founders’ Food Hall & Market (6 Prince Street, Charlottetown, PE) & Peakes Quay Courtyard (11 Great George St, Charlottetown, PE) the perfect waterfront backdrop for great tunes and good vibes.

Do I need tickets?

Nope! All performances are free and open to the public. Just show up, grab a bite or drink, and enjoy the show.

What if it rains?

We’re rain-or-shine when we can be! If the weather’s not cooperating, we’ll make the call to cancel or move indoors (when possible). Follow @FoundersFoodHall & @Peakesquay on Instagram for live updates!

Who’s performing?

Expect a rotating lineup of incredible local artists & performers—from acoustic sets to upbeat duos. Check out our weekly schedule on socials @FoundersFoodHall & @Peakesquay.

Can I bring kids?

Absolutely! The Sounds of the Waterfront is family-friendly!

Are the patios dog-friendly?

Yes! Pups are welcome on both the Founders’ Food Hall & Market and Peakes Quay Courtyard. Just keep them leashed, hydrated, and ready to vibe to some live music.

Is there food and drink available?

Oh yes—Founders’ Food Hall & Market & Peakes Quay Courtyard is packed with amazing local vendors, drinks, and treats. Come hungry.

Is seating provided?

We’ve got patio seating available, but it’s first come, first served. Feel free to bring a blanket or lawn chair if you want to guarantee a comfy spot.
